BENEFITS
It's a visually striking plant that's easy to cultivate indoors.
The life plant is an approximately one to two meter tall, upright, succulent perennial herb. This plant is widely distributed in India and may also be found in other countries including Pakistan, Nepal, Brazil, and the United States. The leaf of life has several applications. Plants thrive on normal soil, enriched soil, and soil that is moderately acidic to slightly alkaline. They also grow well in tropical, subtropical, and warm temperate climate zones. The plant has a hollow stem that is succulent, glabrous, thick, flexible, and colored either green or red.
LEAVES
The leaves measure 2–12 cm in width and 5–25 cm in length. Simple leaves grow on the lower portions, whereas complicated joint leaves with six to seven leaves arranged in an opposite pattern grow on the top sections. There are 2–10 cm long petioles, or stalks. These leaves are shaped like ovals or narrow ovals with rounded tips, or obtuse apices. The leaflet at the terminal is noticeably bigger than the others. As they separate from the parent plant, new plants frequently emerge from the scalloped margins of the leaves.
FLOWERS
Its stems are topped with branching clusters of flowers in bloom. The blooms have colors ranging from pinkish-red to greenish-yellow. The blooms form a cymose panicle and are pendulous, tubular, measuring 7 cm. Their arrangement remains in branching clusters within the terminal inflorescence. 10 to 25 mm is the length of the stalks, or pedicle. The calyx tube, which holds up the four petal lobes (corolla), is partially formed by their partial fusion. In winter and spring, flowers bloom.
Madagascar is home to Bryophyllum pinnatum. Southern Africa is where it grows as well. In addition, it grows in Egypt, Brazil, Polynesia, the Galapagos Islands, the West Indies, Australia, Hawaii, Melanesia, Macaronesia, New Zealand, portions of Asia, Nepal, Thailand, Pakistan, Egypt, and Brazil.
